When you are dealing constantly with patients with mild cognitive impairment, who can still read/respond to their portal messages through Elation, but who forget the messages to pay their bill and the spouse or adult child has requested the bills come to them, I cannot keep up with those changes on 100+ patients. Please add a billing email field that will automatically go to the responsible party. Even if I have to double enter the "billing email" as the same for the "patient email" who are cognitively intact when I set up the account, it would be so worth it. I spend way too much time chasing account payments right now and changing emails when I see an account is past due and remembering to change it back for portal messages and I sure don't know whose bill is do when, as we allow monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual payments. This really is a huge issue for our practice.
