Ability to add on extra labs to a lab order in Hint

Ability to add on extra labs to a lab order in Hint. Ex: XYZ labs are order through Hint, but then they want to add on ABC labs to the order (after the 1st order has been placed) to also have the lab test the samples for the other labs as well. Practices want the ability to add on extra labs to lab orders (that have already been placed), and have those results come into Hint on a patients chart. For example in the labcorp portal you can add on extra labs to an existing order, and practices want this same feature in Hint.

Add-Ons for Quest and LabCorp through Health Gorilla

Please add support for placing Specimen Add-On Orders (adding a test to an existing blood draw/specimen accession number) directly within the Hint lab ordering workflow.
Current Problem & Pain Point:
Currently, once a lab requisition is transmitted via Health Gorilla (or Junction) in Hint, the order becomes completely locked/immutable. If a clinician needs to add a test onto a specimen that is already sitting at Quest or Labcorp (e.g., adding a TSH or Ferritin onto a CMP drawn 24–48 hours ago):
We cannot request the add-on within Hint.
We have to log into external lab portals (Quest QuikOrders / Labcorp Beacon) or call Client Services to submit the add-on using the lab’s Accession ID.
Proposed Solution:
Allow clinicians to view recent sent orders and select an option like "Request Specimen Add-On."
The system would pass an add-on request payload appending the new test(s) to the original Specimen Accession ID sent to Health Gorilla / Junction.
Hint would automatically add the wholesale cost of the add-on test to the patient’s invoice/ledger, maintaining seamless billing synchronization.
Impact on Practice:
Patient Care & Comfort: Prevents patients from having to undergo unnecessary secondary needle sticks when a sample is already viable at the lab.
Staff Efficiency: Eliminates double-entry across Hint and external lab portals.
