Allow Font Editing Within Notes
B
Buddy Touchinsky
Currently, there is no way to change the font within a note in Hint.
Issues Experienced:
The font appears to be permanently set by the template used to create the note.
If text is pasted from another document, it retains the original font—and there’s no way to change it afterward.
Highlighting text and trying to change the font via the toolbar does not work (although color changes do).
The font dropdown setting is essentially non-functional within notes.
Impact:
Providers spend unnecessary time copying entire notes into external programs just to reformat them, then pasting them back.
This creates frustration, slows documentation, and risks reduced clarity if notes become inconsistent in appearance.
Organized, well-formatted notes are important for quickly finding key patient information during chart review.
Proposed Solution:
Enable functional font style and size editing within notes, either globally or for selected text.
Ensure pasted content can be reformatted to match the note’s default style with a single click (“clear formatting” option).
This would improve efficiency, note readability, and provider satisfaction.
